Karin Bloemen is zangeres en cabaretière en staat sinds 1983 bekend om haar indrukwekkende stem, expressieve optredens en veelzijdige theatershows. Met haar mix van humor, emotie en muzikaliteit weet zij elk publiek te raken.
Nog voor haar afstuderen aan de Academie voor Kleinkunst in Amsterdam won ze de Pisuisseprijs en later de Pall Mall Exportprijs. Daarna groeide ze uit tot een vaste waarde in het Nederlandse theater, met succesvolle shows als Bosje Bloemen, Kameleon en Absobloodylutely Bloemiliciously Fanfckintastic. Daarnaast speelde ze in musicals, films en tv-programma’s.
In haar carrière ontving Karin onder meer een Gouden Harp, een Edison en de Annie M.G. Schmidtprijs. In 2011 werd zij benoemd tot Officier in de Orde van Oranje-Nassau.
