Özcan Deniz

Özcan Deniz is a Turkish singer, actor, director, screenwriter, and composer. He is known for his role in the television series Asmali Konak. Özcan was born in Ankara and moved to Aydın at the age of five. As a child, he was already singing and was part of the band Mavi Deniz (Blue Sea). He participated in a traditional singing competition, won it, and moved to Istanbul. He lived in Germany for a few years, where he was discovered by a music producer. In 1992, he released his first album, Yine Ağlattın Beni, and scored many hits in the 1990s and 2000s. He won several awards for his albums. He began making and writing films and had his first acting role in 1994. In 2002, he broke through as an actor in the soap opera Asmali Knoak, which, due to its popularity, was even broadcast in the Netherlands. He has appeared in several films and series, some of which he wrote and others directed. With his films and series, Özcan hopes to develop a broader view of modern society.
