Ye Vagabonds is the Irish folk duo of brothers Brían and Diarmuid Mac Gloinn, who began their musical journey as street musicians and have since grown into one of the most prominent names in the contemporary folk scene. Their music is rooted in traditional Irish folk, but at the same time sounds rich, layered and contemporary. Around their distinctive blood harmonies, Ye Vagabonds have built a sonic universe with acoustic and electric guitars, complemented by instruments such as trumpet, double bass, bouzouki, violin, harmonium and Moog synth. This combination creates a warm, sometimes dreamy sound in which tradition and innovation find each other effortlessly.
The duo are often described as leaders of a new wave of Irish folk and have won several RTÉ Radio 1 Folk Awards, including Best Track, Best Album and Best Folk Group. In January 2026, their long-awaited new album All Tied Together will be released, largely recorded live in an old house in Galway and produced by Phil Weinrobe (Big Thief, Adrienne Lenker). It is an album that further deepens their musical connection and craftsmanship.
