Visit the Holland Taptoe on 27 April, King’s Day. Enjoy music, marching, and show performances by renowned marching and show bands.
The approximately 2-hour program consists of a musical opening, followed by alternating shows and performances, and concludes with a joint finale by all 150 musicians in colorful uniforms.
Show & Marchingband Juliana from Amersfoort is one of the most attractive and largest marching bands in the Netherlands. They open the program with an intrada and present their show The Elements, in which the musicians take the audience through the elements of earth, water, air, and fire in an engaging choreography.
March & Showband Rheden appears in their blue uniforms with their show Let the Sun Shine, full of cheerful, well-known music, and also performs a marching display.
All About Water is the show by Showkorps KDO from Groessen. In addition, they will present a marching parade performance in their green uniforms.
There will also be a standout youth band: Jong Juliana! It consists of musicians aged 9 to 16 who enthusiastically perform their fun show Better Together. They will also form a Massed Band together with Show & Marchingband Juliana and perform music jointly.
The performance starts at 7:30 PM, with doors opening at 7:00 PM. The Taptoe lasts approximately 2 hours. Drinks will be available for purchase before and after the event in the adjacent café.
