Bloodbath

Bloodbath is a Swedish death metal band from Stockholm, formed in 1998 by members of renowned bands such as Katatonia, Opeth and Edge of Sanity. What started as a project to revive the pure, old-school death metal of the late ’80s and early ’90s quickly grew into one of the most respected names in the genre. With their early EP Breeding Death and debut album Resurrection Through Carnage, Bloodbath immediately set the tone with raw intensity and uncompromising brutality. Over the years, the band has evolved through several line-ups and featured iconic vocalists such as Mikael Åkerfeldt, Peter Tägtgren and later Nick Holmes (Paradise Lost). Today, Bloodbath is known for its relentless sound, inspired by both the Swedish death metal tradition and the American scene. With albums such as Nightmares Made Flesh, The Arrow of Satan Is Drawn and Survival of the Sickest, the band continues to captivate fans worldwide with their uncompromising, old-school death metal.
