Jah Wobble

Indeed! Jah Wobble, the living legend on four strings, is coming to Hasselt to play his full reworking of PiL’s Metal Box live.

As co-founder of Public Image Ltd. (PiL) and one of the most influential bassists in post-punk history, Wobble developed a sound entirely his own. His pulsating, hypnotic bass lines – heavily steeped in dub and global sounds – formed the basis for an innovative style that has continued to influence pop music since the late 70s.

He has collaborated with Brian Eno, Everything Is Recorded, CAN, The Edge, and just about everyone who scored a hit in the UK in the 80s, 90s, and 2000s. Wear something black, come spin some tiles, and be sure to ask: “How Much Are They?”
