Jev. is the musical project of Congolese-Canadian rapper, producer and songwriter Jephté Kweto. A refugee with roots in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, South Africa and Canada, he channels themes of identity, belonging and resilience into a distinctive blend of alternative hip-hop, soul, jazz rap and R&B. Through honest storytelling, layered production and sharp lyricism, Jev. creates a musical universe where deeply personal experiences meet universal narratives.
Following the breakthrough success of the viral single Where's the Confetti?, Jev. released the critically acclaimed albums The Color Grey. (2022) and When Angels Cry. (2024), followed by the EP LONERWRLD, Vol. 2 (2025). Inspired by artists such as Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole, André 3000, Nas and JAY-Z, he has built a rapidly growing international fanbase and toured across North America and Europe, including as support for Lil Tjay and on his own Welcome to LONERWRLD Tour. With recent releases such as Ronin. and God Flow., Jev. continues to push his artistic boundaries while establishing himself as one of the most exciting emerging voices in alternative hip-hop.
