Mélanie Akkari is a Belgian stand-up comedian, screenwriter and director who is rapidly emerging as one of the most exciting new voices in French-speaking comedy. After a career in the data industry and a period in the air force, she made the bold decision to pursue stand-up full-time. Her sharp observations, intelligent humour and natural stage presence quickly caught attention: after being discovered by the founder of What The Fun, she won the Kings of Comedy Club competition in 2024, marking her breakthrough.
Today, Mélanie is a regular columnist for La Première (RTBF) and is touring with her debut solo show, Perséphone. Alongside her work on stage, she wrote and directed her first short film, Vacarme, and is currently developing the screenplay for her second film, showcasing her talent across multiple creative disciplines.
