VTOROI KA is an electronic duo from Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, formed by childhood friends Ilya and Sultan. Since forming in 2017, they have blended post-punk, electronic music, rave, synth-pop and alternative pop into a distinctive sound that defies easy categorisation. By writing, producing, mixing and mastering all of their music themselves, the duo has developed a recognisable style where electronic beats, infectious melodies and a playful sense of irony come together.
Following the underground success of the albums Dependence Day (2020) and Serial (2022), VTOROI KA reached an international audience with Piggy Ride (2024). The album's singles helped the duo grow to more than 200,000 monthly Spotify listeners and accumulate tens of millions of streams across digital platforms in less than a year. While their music first gained traction across Central Asia and Eastern Europe, it is now reaching an increasingly international audience.
With the EP PO GUBE and a string of recent releases, VTOROI KA continues to push its musical boundaries by combining post-punk, electronic music and rave influences in unexpected ways. Their energetic live shows, distinctive visual identity and uncompromising DIY approach have established VTOROI KA as one of the most exciting emerging acts from Central Asia.
