At the name ‘Hitchcock’, we always first think of that bloody shower or a flock of birds gone berserk.
This lecture aims to emphasize other sides of Alfred Hitchcock: his sense of humor, his fondness for the cool blonde, his brilliant technique… His films were sometimes quite romantic and glamorous as well.
We set the suspense aside for a moment and also enjoy the humor, romance, and aesthetics of the great ‘master of suspense’. We laugh at his jokes, enjoy his visual innovations, and admire the locations, sets, and costumes. His sometimes hilarious and often daring publicity stunts will also be discussed.
